Acrylic and watercolour painting depicting a woman of African decent with a blazing colourful afro. The overall impression happiness and joy, and this emotion is carried to the edge of the canvas by the afro. My aim in painting this was to express what it is to be happy with who you are. I chose the afro as feature to celebrate integrating it into a burst of colours to signify joy.
